When it comes to the air quality of the Wasatch Front, the problem can seem too big to comprehend. But Millcreek can be the benchmark for other cities to follow. Investing in projects like hybrid municipal vehicles, LED street lighting, and energy-efficient upgrades to city offices would go a long way towards reducing our city’s carbon footprint and making the air healthier for our children and our elderly. We could also provide small subsidies for energy and water efficiency efforts and tree planting by homeowners. If we do the little things correctly, then the big problem won’t be so daunting.
